Mac attended WMT Advanced Medicine training last weekend at Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford. A highly recommended training for all who operate in the greater ranges and remote areas world wide. Course director was Dr Tariq Qureshi a Medic who is vastly experienced in wilderness medicine and ventures to remote areas.

BMG Winter Induction

Neil has just had a great few days up on Ben Nevis and Aonach Mor, completing the last part of the Induction phase as part of joining the British Mountain Guides Scheme. Neil has been away in the Alps completing the Ski Induction as part of his BMG scheme induction.



" Hi.  First up was the Ski Technique Training Course up in Leysin, Switzerland. A great three days skiing, learning some new skills from Alex Languetin a ski assessor for the Swiss Ski Instructors. It was also great to meet, catch up and ski with some other fully qualified guides who were there as part of their ( CPD ) continuing personal development."




"Ski Induction Test a full days skiing in a La Diablerets. Where Terry Ralphs put us through our paces es.

The Techniques for Cascade Guiding training. despite the lack of Ice we found some."



"Finally down to La Grave in France for the European Avalanche School  avalanche course. also on the course was this years in take of Swedish Guides on their first course. Its was nice to see and meet a few familiar faces from time spent in the Alps. Thanks to Mark Diggins, Steve Jones and Per As." 







"On the last day I joined up with my good friend Craig Hartley for some ice climbing before leaving La Grave."








"Next stop I'm heading up to Scotland for the winter to get some early training/climbing before for my Scottish Winter Induction Test. "
